I wrote a small piece of fiction using your image as a reference point.
The Dragon“Don’t go past the gates, Rajid.” Mother warned, drying her hands on her apron. “No matter what, don’t go past the gates.”
Mother was always so stern, he thought, twisting the leash of his dragon more firmly into his grip. Don’t play with your food. Don’t speak ill of His Kingdom. Don’t fuss over nonsense.
Don’t go past the gates.
Overhead, the dragon arced raggedly through the air, jerking his arm and the boy with it. It yearned for the freedom of the skies, to stretch its wings and fly. Wherever the gust lead, it followed. So too did Rajid. Every day, a little stronger. Every day, a little further from home.
“Did you not just hear me, Rajid!” Mother barked, lurching forward and grabbing his leash arm, almost costing him his dragon. “You must never go out there!”
“I almost lost my dragon because of you!” Rajid whined, quickly coiling the thin leather strip around its’ keeper as the lo I thank you!

The whole scene is so well created with light coming for the middle of the ruins/ mountain, the silhouette effects on the boy is so perfect!
