i have an idea as i am making this costume right now haha... for the hositer... on the back of the Sash... the one worn around the middle add uhh. dang i dont know how to put it in words... ><
like on the fan it's self. put a button... like a snap button on the main frame... i have ahuge fan tho sooooo... lol i'm so accurate when it comes to costumes its scary.
and have a sanp on a piece of grey harder fabric that can snap to that and then it goes around the fan... securing it closed and then it snaps again...
>< never mind. good costume... btw...
but as soon as i can get some pics i'll show u okay. the snaps make it really easy to get on and off... an it's like in shippuuden Where u click it into place the straps are extra support so nothing rips ^^...

Wow that looks awesome!! I love the way you have the red sash wrapped around to hold the fan like that!
I'm trying to work on an outfit like this as we speak, any tips?

Haha, yeah that did look annoyingly complicated to figure out. x3
And okay, thanks!
A few questions, and sorry if i don't make sense, but, is that a T style of the kimono? My dad and I are probably starting from scratch, with a piece of black fabric we're gonna modify etc. and he said that the way he looks at all the pics they seem like a "T-style" made to fold around the body. What did you do?
Sorry if that didn't make sense @_@

That makes perfect sense!
It's actually not quite a T shape, the sleeves are separate. I just made this tutorial (hopefully it's easy to follow) [link] about how I generally do kimono and whatnot, and her's isnt' much different from this!
The T shape would work great, too, but I haven't done any that way, simply because me and my commissioners aren't skinny enough to fit it correctly on one piece of fabric laid out XP It might simply be easier to do that, way, and a little less sewing, too. The hardest part I encountered for this outfit was getting the neckline so that the back lays nicely, and that was pretty much the driving force to make the tutorial
Also, I know she normally doesn't have the neckband (although some of the pictures are kind of vauge to it, since it still lays up on her neck as if she had one), so if you plan on doing it that way, just remember you'll have to face the outer edge with something, and I highly recommend getting some extra wide bias tape (single fold works fine for htis), since it will curve nicely around the overlap

Oooh I downloaded the tutorial, looks good! I'll see what my dad thinks, he's helping me make the outfit since I'm still iffy with the whole thing >>;
T shape might work best with me, cuz i'm rather petite, though like I said, I'll show my dad what you said and ask his opinion.
Thanks for all the advice!! It really helped ^_^ All of your outfits look amazing! I showed one of my friends and he's like "@_@ wow!" Hehe, it's pretty funny. But yeah, awesome work ^^
Thanks again! I may bug you later asking for more help <.< >.> I'll make sure to post a picture up later of each cosplay outfit I make once I'm done (and get my camera working).

Very cute, Temari really IS a comfy costume!^^
The way I did it was much simpler: I simply stuck the fan in the back of the obi behind the "bow". It required that I remove it before sitting, but less troublesome XP

Definitely much easier! And probably just as comfortable, too (or moreso!)
I originally had another sash that you just tied the fan up with, but too many commissioners were like "I want to be able to quickly take it off my back, and in this picture, she has some wrap around it". And then I cried a little on the inside, and said "okay, I'll figure out how to do it." XP

I was actually amazed that the holder worked - I had tried three or four times before, and they all didn't work out at all *sigh*

Same. But fighting with them does look really cool in animation. I looked it up on youtube.

Geeze, what's with me and all these violent thoughts? XD; Must be the summer heat... D:
