Description

    Samira is a true anachronism. Born into a culture that degrades women and keeps them underfoot, she was saved from a life of slavery and abuse when a wandering priestess saw in her a special talent for magic. She was commanded to be turned over to the Church of Isis to be raised and educated from the age of 12. Her father was a known Thunate pirate. He’s dead now. She and her mother were sold to a wandering desert sheik not long after Samira was born. They were quickly separated and she was sold again. The only family she really knows is the sisterhood of the church. Her only mother; the Holy Mother Isis. She attempts to be motherly and nurturing, but is clearly too young to be comfortable in the role. She knows her strengths and weaknesses and is never arrogant or overbearing. Samira is loving and caring to all, especially innocents and animals. However, she has a fevered rage when faced with undead, true evil, or the forces of the enemies of her church (Sett, Apep, SerQet).

    Samira avoids most physical confrontations for she is too small and too frail to be very effective. She can defend herself however, not just with her magic, but with the martial arts form of the Deep Desert peoples. Her spellcasting is enhanced by almost every known metamagic feat available to the church. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of everything from science and technology to the famous mages and magics of myth and legend. She has more magic at her disposal than many mages or priests with twice her experience.
