Actually I animated it in Photoshop. I just took the layer with Ruby and rotated it with 15 degrees angle every frame. If you are looking for good animation Software I'd recommend you TVPaint or Flash. If you know Flash the TVPaint will be pretty easy for you as well. I use them for my job.
