Description Part 2 of the Halloween pumpkins from '10. This one is a Black Lantern symbol, as part of the Blackest Night comic series. For those who don't know, the Black Lanterns are a group comprised of deceased characters from the comics and are dedicated to eliminating all other colors of the emotional spectrum.
I like how this one turned out a lot better than the Green Lantern pumpkin, mainly because it looks neater, a bit more detailed, isn't crooked, and was more of a challenge. The middle line of the five lines at the top of the design was scraped a bit thin on the inside and I made a logistics error in carving. This left it very wobbly, so I had to spend about 45 minutes gingerly holding it while I carved the rest of the lines so as to keep it from breaking.

"The Blackest Night falls from the skies, the darkness grows as all light dies, we crave your hearts and your demise, by my black hand, the dead shall rise."

Awesome Jack o Lantern carving.
