Description these are a few concepts i did a few months back for no apparent reason. I was inspired by the movie 'Dog Soldiers', but wanted to put them in creepy setting.( not that the setting in DS wasn't creepy, it was downright terrifyinng!!)
I chose the American midwest, during summer. A lonely highway or a roof of a barn...an everyday place,which is lonely and devoid of populace.

...A place where you don't want to end up getting stranded.

This picture is great! And yes Dog Soldiers was an awesome Werewolf movie, one of the best in recent years (yes, much better than Ginger Snaps and especially.....Cursed. Ugh). You chose the inspiration well, when I first saw Dog Soldiers the silhouettes of the Werewolves scared the crap outta me.

Yes it was. It's one of those movies I love to watch over and over. My hubby thinks I'm insane! I am so nit picky about how the werewuffies should look and I really like their appearance in that one.

I've been with this company 6 years It's not a bad job and I did learn a lot about the web and webpublishing and stuff here. When I was younger I wanted to go to art school but my mum and dad wouldn't pay for it, they are a little conservative that way but lovely parents otherwise. They wanted me to learn a "proper job" Luckily I've alway managed to find jobs in creative environments like advertising agencies, photographers and film production but I could never be one of the creatives myself, oh well.

Glad you think I have a good art style, I'm really still learning but a bit of encouragement always helps I think I'm still a bit too slow to do this professionally although I would like to. Maybe after I've expanded my portfolio to some non Farscape work I could try and show it around a bit more. If I had the courage I probably could've done more for our own company, we hire creatives too I get to do the odd advertising banner right now. I'm a chicken but I don't think they'd appreciate my gallery of aliens, even most friends I show them too look at me funny.

I think there are a lot of creative jobs I would have liked to do, graphic designer, illustrator, web designer, concept artist sounds really cool too, I don't even know everything there is out there and what would be most suited for me. Right now I'm actually just glad I've rediscovered what I can do and if I end up getting some freelance jobs out of it eventually, that would just rock

6 years in one job wow. i know it's not that suprising but in 6 years i've been in and out of work so many times, oh well i guess that's freelance for you.. i know how parent's can be though. Mine wern't exactly thrilled at the prospect of me being an artist. My dad wanted me to become an architect, engineer or get this Aeronautical engineer, like he wanted to be... he's a lawyer btw. He'd dad (my grandfather) told him to be. I guess that's how it was done in those days.
My dad was in for a rude shock however, when my maths and physics teacher advised him against allowing me to go anywhere near a plane or standing structure.
The only redeeming thing after that Pta night was that dad realised that i would do art all my life. he hasn't stopped pushing me ever since. Up to this day if ever he sees or reads anything about new computer graphics or art jobs he'd email me or bend my ear about doing this or that..frankly I think I lked it better when he wanted me to be an engineer..

I don't know about your friends, but i think your aliens are great...well I guess iv'e worked with most of these aliens so .. I can't believe u do most of this stuff in illustrator..? I think u should for sure think about doing some freelance stuff....

Yep it's the longest I've held a job for though, before that my CV was like swiss cheese too

LOL your dad sounds like someone I know, well at least he's learned to accept your job and seems to take an interest. I don't think my mum and dad ever knew what I was doing exactly, in fact last time I went to Italy to visit some relatives one of my cousins thought I was work in fashion design for some reason god knows what my mum told them

Not all my stuff is done in Illustrator Akhna and Scorpy were definitely done in photoshop but my last two Gigi and M'Lee as well as some of the older ones where done in Illustrator. took me a while to get the hang of that program.
