Here’s one I doodles a while back, right at the beginning of my Rin/Sessh fascination. (Which will explain why the characters might not be totally on model).I like Rin’s look in the first panel… she’s totally deviously plotting her lust for him… and he hasn‘t the slightest idea about it.
I think it’s cute when couples surprise each other with affection… it’s something scarcely seen now a days. Affection on the whole is lacking from our society, so sometimes I like working through some of my social criticism/frustration in my art. This one just popped out because of it. I mean, what I can’t figure out is WHY people wouldn’t want to be as affectionate as this… is it really more beneficial to be unloyal, scruples, selfish beings? Do people actually want to be raised with a feeling of alienation and rivalry against the opposite sex? I don’t get it. I guess that’s why I’m still single.
Anyhow, forget about re-reading that scroll anytime soon Sessh... it's totaly done for now. But I guess you won't complain. You are of the few lucky ones to find exatcly what most of us can't.

I agree with your take on the apparent rivalry and alienation between the sexes. It truly does seem that those elements are prevalent in our society. Sometimes I feel that in modern marriages men and women don't know where they stand with each other anymore because roles are so confused. They probably just don't know how to relate to one another, so they go from

I don't think the problem is "because roles are so confused.".. that's basically saying we have to regress into women at home, men are at work. I think it's that certain cultures perpetuate certain guidelines that to many are just too strict to realize. I'm a woman. I don't like cooking. By the previous standard that would make me a horrible wife. Frankly, my womanhood should not be challenged because of the lack of will to cook. I think what people need ot see is the INDIVIDUAL in the other person, and realize that sex has nothing to do with anything. It's an excuse some cultures created to help with the mechanical shuffling of people, and the training of the mids in a certain way benefiting certain people.
But now, I'm going off on rant.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying. The subjugation of women has been perpetuated throughout the centuries by men who had everything to gain by it. Now that women are equal with men, though, we're beginning to see some role reversals. By this I mean that women are becoming breadwinners while their husbands stay home and keep house as well as take care of the children. In a way, that's not really a big deal, but then the structures within society that have been established and maintained by our ancestors have remained in our minds if not in our world. So I think people will not be able to help feeling at least a small measure of contempt for the man who does not provide for his family and the woman who moves about freely as though she were the god of her universe. I can't believe I just wrote all that--mainly, in my last post, I was trying to make a funny, but seeing that you responded with a level of maturity I had yet to display, my inner adult came out to play. Shoot, now I'm rhyming. I guess that makes me an emotional poet or something
