OMG, another pic of Xadra and Losh.
It's all because I can't write, though, so blame my absent writing muse for this art spamming.Anyway, this one gave me serious nightmares, I reworked it about a bazillion times before I could finally call it done. Fortunately, it was worth the frustration, because I just love how battered and vulnerable Losh looks here.
I'm bad, yes.

I really like the look on Xadra's face, she's clearly comforting him, and there seems a subtle hint of murder in her eyes. As though she's also planning how to make the bad things go away.

Aww, poor Losh! And I wouldn't like to be the one who caused him those tears, because that look Xadra gives... that would kill.
Some constructive criticism - I like how you'd gotten more and more lifelike, with all those textures and stuff, but his skin looks too shiny and plastic-like, maybe you can find some texture to it too? Though, looking closer, there seems to be some, maybe it's just too light to notice.
Also, the hair is strange, although if you render them and not paint, as some do, that might be the reason.

Losh's skin is so unnatural/shiny/plasticky on purpose, just as his facial features are, to differentiate him from the rest of the characters. It is because he comes from a different world than Xadra, so he is what I would call a different species. His skin doesn't have any pores or hair other than the hair on his head, his blood is blue, his eyes glow in the dark and so on. The hair is rendered, with only parts of it added in postwork and I am not too fond of it, I admit, but after all those renders it kinda grew on me, so I couldn't imagine Losh with different hair now.

Ok, that explains a lot. Maybe I've just seen too many plastic-doll-like renders, that I've grown bit allergic to this

I agree that horribly textured renders are in abundance on dA so I don't really blame you for being allergic to them.
Funny thing is that I actually worked really hard to make Losh's skin look so... badly doll-like.
