Prismacolor scholar pencils....I usually build up in layers...I love the way you color yours...but I find I always have to put my colors in solid...it's just something with me...gotta be solid color! LOL

You could try markers, i use a black one and a red one for the solid parts.

I love both old school and new school..could be covered in both really! I find even when I do old school designs I end up coloring them in new school colors!
