Pretty intimidating, I like the color choice here, with how his cool green feathers contrast on the red background. I wanna echo the compliment on the marker use. Especially like how the strokes of the marker on the fuzzy/feathery bits flow consistently to the tips.

Thanks. I had tried to pick a complimentary color for the background of each animal to make them really burst out of the page.

Markers scared me at first too. I had been using black and white and greytones as my only medium for so long. Eventually I just learned to dive in. If I screw up, I can re-draw and try again.
Markers do force you to think about what your color scheme is going to be way in advance, because there is no undo button XD

Amen to that! That's why I avoid traditional mediums, I always end up changing my mind. Of course, that may be a double standard... if I HAD to make up my mind, maybe I would! ^__^
