Description
Once Vincent gets dropped off on the roof by the little robot TRAACI; "Well that wasn't quite as embarrassing as being carried by you." He says to Xander.
"I'll take that as a compliment Vincent." TRAACI replies, as she begins connecting wires on the device Xander is building.
"Is that what I think it is?" Vincent asks, eyeing the device up and down.
"Just upgrading my security system." Xander says.
"Ooook. Anyway, I assume you heard the news?" Vincent asks.
"About Green Guardian? Ya, it's on every station right now." Xander tells him; "I guess that makes us even."
"Ya. I'm just wondering why you didn't just kill the guy?" Vincent asks. "I've seen some of what you build. I know you could make something that could take out that guy. I mean he's big and tough, but he's not invulnerable."
With a chuckle; "If I wanted him dead I could have killed him months ago, shot him when we was in his human form if nothing else." Xander informs him; "But this is better."
"How is this better?" Vincent asks.
"That guy blamed me for something I didn't have any part in." Xander says; "And the self-righteous SOB wasn't gonna believe me, ever. If I killed him, he'd just be a martyr, some dead hero. They'd probably pull out all the stops trying to figure out who killed him. But this way, he's not a hero anymore. Nobody's ever going to believe a thing he says and everything he's ever done is going to be suspect. Now nobody is gonna believe him, ever."
"So this was more of a character assassination then." Vincent says.
"Yup." Xander says with a smile; "And he provided all the ammo I needed."
Spotting Ariel flying towards them; "Your girlfriends wearing a toolbelt. She actually helps you build stuff?" Vincent asks.
Overhearing his question; "No, not normally. But since he's on the roof I'm his sexy helper today." Ariel says with a smile while offering him a can; "Soda?"
