I think they hinted that they were a couple at one point. Not sure if Namura was pretending to be a defecting Changeling to get info or if Draal was acting out to get Daddy Kanjigar's attention.

Bit in the episode where Draal helped Jim with the Gishaka (or whatever), he said he had similar feelings for an impure and when he met Nemora they seemed to have a special kind of banter so maybe this did happen. I mean I always just assumed that it did happen

They are my third OTP so far, so I believe that they are gonna get (back) together at some point, since Nomura and Strickler are now allies in season two's finale, hopefully revealing more about Nomura's past in season 3

Nomura, of course, is an ally now (however, she and Strickler directly cannot interfere. Their "originals" in the Darkland, the trolls can just eated the babies if the servants they will no longer be needed). But very "on time" Draal was enchanted and dragged into the dark side, so he and Nomura can continue to Express your passion with the beating.

I headcanon that, as Changelings are undetectable in human form, it's vice versa in troll form. Other than a potential lack of traditional tattoos (maybe), Β they'd look and smell the same.Β
So, I think it could be very likely that Draal and Numora met in the past and Β did the troll version of dating, until he found out she was a changeling.Β
Meaning that the "pain he delivered" before could very well be emotional, rather than solely physical.

On the Market there are Trolls, at least, two girls are NOT changelings that look like Nomura. Only they are a different color and with a different hairstyle. So that Draal could accept she for an ordinary troll. Perhaps this is the Strickler so much "humanised", and she and Gladys look almost like normal trolls.

I do have some problems with the show, but for the most part I love it!.
My main issue is with it making Nomura AND Strickler evil, I mean I get that they needed bad guys but they already had Bular, Gunmar, and Angor Rot, they didn't need Nomura and Strickler too, heck!..... they could have made things more interesting by having Strickler and Nomura be a part of some third party changeling group, I wouldn't have argued with that, but putting them all on the side of Gunmar was just overkill to me, I mean.... I get where they were coming from with the idea..... but dayum!.
Also I just dug Nomura's design (Y. U. Make cool badass evil Creators?!.......).
I never really thought about it till now either, but Nomura and Draal as mates would be kind of..... awesome where Canon pairings are concerned, too bad it'll never happen..... π

The one problem I have with the show is unfortunately a pretty big problem.
The main human characters. I have seen that particular setup SOOOOOOOOOO
many times before. The kind young boy who dreams of adventure, his goofballΒ
friend, the love interest who is both popular and has perfect grades in everything and the
standard, sport loving bully. In fact, the boy hero in this show has almost the EXACT name AND
design as another boy hero character from another show I've watched AND both of their mothers raise their kids
alone because they both have deadbeat fathers. What dissapoints me most about all of this is
that this show was made my Guillermo del Toro, the genius behind pan's labyrinth. I would've
expected him of all people to think up more fresh characters.

I agree that those tropes and cliches can be annoying, but in order to enjoy a show now days I find that I have to overlook them, but sense I'm not the type of person to overlook anything I usually tend to fly more on the side of cliche mockery, I love making jokes and roasting certain aspects of a show or book if given the opportunity π
But in all honesty, I'm not THAT bothered by it, sense to my knowledge Del' Toro did acknowledge how run of the mill his character's were, I believe it was something to the effect of going with tropes and cliches in the beginning and then expanding on them personality wise to make them more unique later (I dunno though 'cause I just heard from a person who probably heard from a person that this was said in an interview, and second-hand information is rarely reliable).
