Description
Done as a request for Xmas from one of my friends' daughters. Coincidentally if you see this, don't ruin the surprise of your sister's Xmas gift until she sees it! LOLI hardly have to be asked twice to paint anything from Peter Pan. I love the art style of that movie. I actually was asked to paint this after the recipient saw my other painting, Neverland;
Acrylics and color pencil on 18 x 24 inch canvas.

Very well done on capturing this classic sequence, the colors & style look both so good in your way. I remembered watching Peter Pan so many times as a child (mostly on VHS), which was a lot of classic fun. Keep at it with working on pieces like this! ! 👍❤🎨

For the whole painting, or a reference image? The painting is made with acrylics and color pencil on canvas.
For image reference I actually was at the Hallmark store in the mall and saw a ceramic sculpture of Peter on the mermaid's rock. I took a few pictures with my cell phone from different angles. The mermaid in the water wasn't included, so I googled a few reference images until I found one I liked for her pose. The background I made up and the pirate ship is loosely based off another painted version of Hook's ship.
