I really like this, particularly the effects you've used. I think I have some photos that could benefit from the vignette...

Thanks. I'd definitely recommend experimenting with some different vignetting techniques. It can really add a lot to any shot.

Sure, I saved the steps involved in my Photoshop workflow, so I'll post them here:
1. combined a longer exposure of the sky with a shorter exposure of the water to attain a higher dynamic range.
2. applied a Photoshop action called "Aly's Old Canvas" [link] to desaturate and add a bit of texture.
3. used the blur tool at 100% at increasingly smaller brush sizes to manually create a blurriness around the edges.
4. used the burn tool at 30% and the paintbrush tool at about 10% to darken the edges and create the vignette.
5. copied the image into a new file, then applied a sandstone texturizing filter with scaling at 100% and relief at a value of 4.
6. pasted the texturized image onto the original image and set the layer opacity to 17% to add just a hint of texture.
7. took this image: [link] , selectively removed various color bands and desaturated it to create a series of black and white stripes.
8. pasted the stripes over the image as a new layer, darkened them and softened them using the blur tool.
9. set the opacity of the stripes layer to 8%, then repeated the process with the stripes rotated 90°.
10. drew the dust marks/lint on the image in a new layer, softened them using the blur tool, then set the layer's opacity to 22%.
11. merged the layers, added the border/title.

Thank you. I made the vignette darker than usual this time, and added a blur vignette too. Glad you like it.

Thanks! I just drew the "lint" on with the painbrush tool as a new layer in PhotoShop, blurred it a bit, then reduced the layer's opacity to about 22%.
