i'm working on some fantasy characters for a setting story. "Lady Raeven" and "Lady Draegon" are sisters who hold positions of power in the colonial city of Empire's Gate. Lady Draegon is the leader of the last remnant unit of the Dracones Imperium, the Imperial Dragonriders. Physically stronger than her sister, she holds, however, only rudimentary magical skills, all related to her bond with her mount. Not only are the dragons of the empire becoming rarer, their high degree of intelligence is now in a state of degeneracy, with more hatchling clutches born as "ferals" rather than as true Dragons. Within her troop, her abilities allow a measure of control over the creatures, and the last of the empire's most powerful strike force survives... just.
