for me this is one of the few artworks an illustrator creates from time to time, which couldn't be better... it's not about style or technique, it's just about what has to be drawn in the very moment, while it emerged from mind to screen... exceptionally done for the mood that is captured here...

reminds me strikingly of the graphic novel-character 'Sandman', who is imprisoned for decades by a magician... in the same comic series there is also a story about one of the ancient Muses with the name 'Calliope', who is also imprisoned and is forced to inspire a writer... (both set in the 20th century... and of course I love those comics dearly)

Sandman and Calliope are shown lying naked on the ground in a very similar way, as you have drawn your figure...
