Yeah, it really shows me they have no idea what they're talking about.
They have this very basic idea of what "feminism" is, and just want to find targets to complain about.
It's so sex negative while also claiming to be "liberal", it's such a weird contradiction that it hurts my brain.
I miss the days when we could appreciate female characters that own their sexuality without being labeled "sexist" somehow.
It's very heteronormative as well, the assumption that only straight men like scantily clad women and somehow use sexy ladies to keep women down, when there's
plenty of women that love sexy ladies and even people like me that like both. (Of course, there's also bi erasure, good job "liberals")
I worry that they'll come for my head one day because my badass warriors are naked (nudist actually) and open about their sexuality and stuff.
I don't call myself "feminist" these days, but I believe a lot of the classic feminist ideals about TRUE gender equality and have a lot of said gender equality and body diversity and a strong female lead in my work.
(She's actually kinda an extension of myself, as taboo as self inserts are in fiction, but not completely like me, and definitely her own person with her own strengths and weaknesses independent of her gender)
