I'm still painting my students in coffee; I should get to them all in about eight months or so. This is Herra, coffee on watercolour paper, 9" by 12". When Herra joined her class, I asked her why she wanted to take art classes. "Well, I enjoy art, but I'm not particularly good at it," she explained. "That's why I'm here. Because you're the Art Master." I almost shot coffee out of my nose. "Kid," I said, "You and me are going to get along great."

I'm starting to get a lot of queries for commissioned portraits, particularly in coffee. I closed human portraiture commissions some time ago; the portraits I'm doing now are gifts for the students and those who've helped me in my travels.
