Finally got my Pinkie Pie looking something like!

And it took me three goes.

I don't know who invented this method as it has now become OLD MARE'S TALE level in MLP fan mythology, but it involves bathing the hair in warm water, curling it around cut segments of a drinking straw like miniature curlers, and then holding them in place with bobby pins. Afterwards I tidied up and tucked away horrible loose ends. Oh! And for her fringe, I suspended the curl completely upwards while I was waiting for it to dry using a wire-tie and a disused Newton's cradle. I left it to dry for about 16-18 hours, so basically the rest of the day and overnight.

I am so glad that her hair now disguises a) her mismatched left eye (where her tampograph was applied too high) and b) her lack of a second cutie mark on the left side of her rump (a trait inherited from older generations of toys, though not demonstrated on the show).

For the record, this is my first attempt and this is my second attempt .
