One of many species associated with the stars, Nova's kind is closely connected with those bright, little orbs you often see up in the night sky. The life of each spirit is interwoven with a single, specific star, and the brighter the star, the more accomplished the associated spirit is. True to their name, these star spirits listen to and try to grant the wishes of whoever "wishes upon their star".

With boundless optimism and absolutely no sense of self-preservation, Nova is a magnet for all things extraordinary- or rather its his company that usually finds the adventure, and he just tags along for the ride. And since he's willing to try everything at least once, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more easy-going partner. As to whether his adventures are always legal or not...well, that's not his problem. The boy maintains an "act first think later" attitude, which is a bit of a dangerous combination with how out of touch he can be with the world. Don't blame him, blame the fact that he grew up in space. In a different dimension. ...Literally.

Maybe it's a kindness that has everything to do with his being a star spirit, but this boy has a unending love and fascination for people. And especially the wishes they carry. He takes it as a personal privilege and duty to help where he can- but there's only so much one person can do. Seeing for himself just how cruel the world can be is a little disheartening...but there's nothing that can extinguish Nova's motivation. He's too enthusiastic to be hurt by such minor setbacks.|| BACKGROUND / BIOGRAPHY
People always say to wish upon a star if you want your dreams to come true, but what about the stars? Who can they share their dreams with? "Other stars" may seem like the obvious answer, but from experience Nova quickly learned that this wasn't going to get him anywhere. Or...no. That wasn't exactly right. It wasn't him that they had a problem with, it was his wish. Tradition states that stars should never come into direct contact with the people they serve, but Nova -who loved these people with all he had -wanted more. He wanted to break tradition; he wanted to forge connections. So if society wouldn't let him do it, Nova would make his own path. The spirit turned rebel and fled his home- one life was ending, but it allowed another to begin.

A stranger to the land he'd watched for so long, Nova had trouble blending in at first, and it took time before he even began to embody the expectations of the people around him. Which earned him a handful of close-calls with the law, but with nowhere to call home, he had no problem packing up and moving when the need arised. It was a thrilling adventure: something new and fulfilling. A chance to play a more direct role in the lives of the people he helped- although, naive as he may be, even Nova knew better than to reveal what he and his magic were doing.

In all his wanderings, Nova eventually came across a girl -another wanderer if you will -and with time the two became friends. And it is this same friend that dragged him along to experience whatever Ever After has to offer. With nowhere else to go (and reluctant to say goodbye to one of the few friends he has), he was more than happy to be invited. ...Even if there may be a tiny, ulterior motive as well. It's hard to keep slipping away when that the attempts to bring him home have become more and more frequent. But what better place is there to hide his own, magical presence, than among countless others of a similar kind?

Magic Type: Fate Manipulation (Alternatively: "Chance manipulation")
More-or-less, it's the ability to manipulate the probability of events: whether it be making a chance meeting possible, prompting a person (or thing) to fall- really, the possibilities are endless. It's an ability inherent within most star spirits, and it's what Nova's uses to "grant wishes". He'll work tirelessly to help someone realize their wish, but ultimately it's up to them to take that last step and make it happen.
Body Type: Given that he's on the shorter side and fairly thin, Nova doesn't have much of a physical presence. But what he lacks in strength he more than makes up in speed.
Clothing: Purple, purple, and more purple - the brighter the better. ...But galaxy textures are pretty awesome too. Or pretty much anything with stars on it. In regards to fashion, he cares a lot more for comfort than style, so you're likely to find him in snug (sometimes even loose or even baggy) clothing. And layers are a must.
Voice: In spite of what his appearance may suggest, he has a warm, calm voice that is rarely raised for any reason besides announcing his own excitement. Given that he's a pretty excitable person, though, this happens...too often.
Sport/Club: Volleyball / Photography

Extras:
• Absolutely terrified of meteor showers and shooting stars, since, as a kid, he was told that they were what happened to "bad stars". Even if it was just one of those stories used to scare children into being good, he's never been able to shake the fear.
• He feels that he knows so little about the things around him, which is why it's not uncommon for Nova to badger whoever he's talking to with questions. Lots of questions. Usually about random, nonsensical things.
• Personal space? What's that?
• Adores anything and everything that has to do with space. Especially stars, or any or those stickers that glow in the dark. Give Nova any of these things and he will love you forever.
• He WILL try to learn what you wish for. Whether he asks subtly or not depends on the person.
• As someone who can't actually read he's starting to have second thoughts about this whole "school situation"...
