She's fabulous and she knows it.This was a free request made on reddit. i had loads of fun making this so I ended up getting a bit carried away with it, heheh.

haha, thanks a lot! I am still quite far from perfect, It'd be quite boring to be perfect at drawing too, since for me one of the main things that make drawing so fun is the joy of discovering new techniques to do things faster and better!

Thanks, pureverve! It does feel pretty good that I can look back at some drawings I did a month ago and already feel like I could draw them better if I drew them now

When I read the request, that was the pose that immediately came to my mind. I mean she's a dragon covered in expensive crystals, how can you not look down upon the peasants who don't have literally money growing out of them!

Well, first you must shove your pride and sense of superiority up your bum and try to be their friend!
You also might want to shrink just a little bit. Peasants can appear quite short next to things that are tall.

I have to agree with LuckyKoneko the head and neck does look small compared to the body... But overall it's pretty darn good.
because the fact that it's suppoused to be a "Gemstone" dragon I feel like the wings needed a bit more detail and a little more variety in the gems that make up the dragon would help... Right now it looks like its all amytheist.

Oh thanks for the feedback! The size of the head I did not notice being too small myself while drawing this and that wasn't really a conscious decision I made, so I'll take the fall on that one. But as for the crystals the person who requested this drawing said that they wanted the crystals to specifically be alexandrite gem14.com/uploads/2012/10/Visi… which are similar to amethyst in their coloring (probably should have mentioned that in the description in the drawing but oh well!). The wings however I thought I'd let them to be quite bare as to not to make her design too complicated and cluttered, since the crystals on her head and back are the things that are supposed to attract the attention of the viewer, but I'll have to agree that perhaps the wings could have benefited from some subtle details, like a gradient shift in color or something similar. But thanks again for your feedback, much appreciated!

this is pretty amazing, though the head and neck look too small compared to the body. making the neck a bit longer would fix it, I think.

Thanks for your feedback, as I mentioned in the comment made by Arkar3456, the size of her head wasn't a conscious decision I made so if the head looks small I fumbled a bit on that part, but I will try not to repeat that mistake twice!

Not even close! you'd practically have to be 90% jewelry and 10% human for her to be even slightly impressed, this means you'd have to wear a boat load of rings, amulets and all sorts of trinkets on you at all times, practically turning you into a walking pile of jewelry!
