Description The ideas and gameplay was on the top back in 1998 and it has kicked Mario64 from the throne. I still remember the awesome Click Clock wood.

Have not played the second game (sold my N64 too early) and hear only bad reviews about the new one.

Not really happy with the pic, but it was a warmup and should be seen so.

I love Banjo-Kazooie as a series! Your take on it is suberb, I wish you would do art in this style occasionally.

Tooie was one of those RARE sequels that competes for best in series with the original, hell, you KEEP your old moves, that's pretty sweet with added new ones

Nuts n' Bolts is a good game, it's just not a good Banjo-Kazooie game due to the focus shifting towards vehicle building. Rare seemed to be utterly blind to the fact that changing the fundamental nature of the gameplay prevents it from being a BK game.
The visuals are downright lush, though.

This pic of my favorite duo just made my day. I'll tell you something though: The first game was fun. But the second was just extradorinary. It's the type of sequal that is the way sequals are supposed to be made! Not like Nuts & Bolts. It just took what you loved about the first two games and threw it out a third story window and made a completely different game of it.

What I still remember most about Banjo-Kazooie are the eggs and the ice key! Who could forget?

Anyway, great and wacky illustration.

I just re-played Banjo-Kazooie on the Xbox360. It's not really the same without the N64 controller but it's still as fun as I remembered it! Kazooie's crazy/goofy/cute expression is amazing!

Second one isn't too bad either. I liked that they can split up.

Banjo-Tooie actually surpassed the first game

Nuts & Bolts was an awesome game, but since it went a different direction (more focussed on the players abilities to adapt and creatively solve problems) it suffered a backlash from the fans who just wanted the same old

true
and the fact that this game (along with Kameo) didn't make much money is why Microsoft turned Rare into what it is now

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Volador-N7 In reply to ANG-Phoenix [2010-08-10 01:10:16 +0000 UTC]

which is a real shame cause if nuts & bolts sold good, we would have seen a true banjo and kazooie sequel. I also would like see a sequel to kameo too. I really like the game despite it flaws.

God, I seriously haven't played either of the games on the Nintendo 64 for a while now...
Anyway, I think it's an interesting translation into your style. Again, the linework and the pose really give it an energetic look.
