Description The LT61 is a commercial lightweight fast tank produced by Mutual Defense between 1961 to 1985 and remained in service with several countries and private entities well into the 21st century.  The LT61 was designed for reconnaissance and anti-armor role in especially rough terrain in addition to being able to be airdropped, either by parachute or by low-altitude parachute-extraction system (LAPES).

The LT61 is equipped with a 90mm smoothbore gun which can fire SABOT rounds or small tube missiles. on both sides of the main gun are the commander and the loader cupolas which are both equipped with .50 cal machine guns.

Unfortunately in order to keep the weight down, the LT61 has next to no armor which will only protect from sustained small arms fire. From experience, it is possible to pierce the sides of the crew cupolas with a .50 cal rifle and possibly kill the crewman should the copula be in use. It is recommended to crewmen to not sit in the copulas unless they are using the machine guns and to avoid confrontations with aware enemies.

Until the 1970s, the LT61 was considered the fastest armored tracked vehicle in use by any federal or private military in the world.

Despite its age, it still sees use today in private militaries and countries with poor terrain, low budgets and/or reliance on airborne units.
