First of all, since she is made in basic Anime style her face is basic anime styled, meaning one can have many interpretations of her face. No person in real life will look like that. If I so wanted I could make her look like the way an actual tengu looks. Black hair, red eyes, white blouse, black skirt, red tokin hat = Aya

What I'm trying to tell you is to read and understand the books written by Andrew Loomis, the American Illustrator and art instructor who lived in the 1950's. Professional artists believe that he is one of the building blocks of art instruction.
The term "good art" refers to the achievement of several elements that make up a good art (the 5p's and the 5c's of art). If you want to know more about this read the first chapter of Successful Illustration by Andrew Loomis. On this book you will be able to learn what makes up a good illustration and a bad illustration.

Which he'll do on his own without the help of another artist's book telling him how to draw. People hate being told how to draw, right? Stop trying to get him to draw the way you want him to because it isn't going to work. Why don't you try shaping yourself in the way you want to be shaped rather than forming a clay figure out of another person, hmm? Might be easier that way.
Besides, Omega is right that "good art" is a complete opinion. It is less than factual and people can easily think someone's art is horrible while they think it's awesome, despite the level of skill. There's "beginning", "advanced", and essentially "career" skill levels. It doesn't matter what skill level somebody is.
