i love the jupiter (from lone ranger) the constitution and the jones train (the same locomotive as the constitution)

Lovely design, yet she seems rather too big to fit in the time period for the movie.

Well they wanted them to be big and they wanted them to go 30 MPH, If you ask me they could have gone with real steam locomotives like Sierra Railway #3 or real 119 & Jupiter.

I hate to be rude but isn't the plot of the film set way earlier before Sierra railway no.3 was built

They probably didn't want to deal with the hassle and expense of running steam engines for the film. And the real 119 & Jupiter (or, to be accurate, the replicas of the originals) belong to the National Parks Service, so getting them out of there wouldn't be easy.

Mm, purty creative they were maybe, even though they still look like they most likely belong between the 1880s-1930s for me. XB
And yes, I agree that they could've let Sierra #3 have cameo at least.
