This one took quite a bit of time, but I am proud of the final result, scales were fun to do, if absurdly annoying, but I find the painting satisfying in almost every way. This is my favorite dinosaur, the Acrocanthosaurus, there is no specific reason for it, I guess I just like its odd, non-tyrannosaurid/carnosaurus appearance, I'm a fan of carchadontasaurids like that.
The Acrocantosaurus Atokensis is, of course, a large carnivorous predator of the early/mid cretaceous in North America. Quite a few of the regions where it is recorded living where once large floodplains and swamps that drained into a shallow inland sea that would become the Western interior sea way, the one depicted here is in the coastal line of such sea, chillin'.

I would also like to add that if you like my work, and feel you have an interesting idea that you would like to see me reproduce, I am officially open to commisions!
