Nice! I'm not betting this guy was covered in fuzz. If allosaurus was any indication, it would be predominantly scaly, with a mowhawk at best like here.

This is so neat -- Acrocanthosaurus isn't my favorite dino (Cryolophosaurus is probably my favorite "big(ish) predator" right now), but I love seeing how the art for this guy is increasing. <3 I especially love the background he's in; it looks so natural, and the beach looks so nice I'd almost want to sunbathe on it!

Tyrannosaurus Rex. Yeah, not very original but Rex has been my favorite ever since I saw Jurassic Park in theaters as a wide eyed 4 year old all those years ago.

Wow, this is really incredible. I love the patterns of the Acro as well as the detail of the scales, and especially that you gave it some feathers! I wish more people drew Acro with feathers.
I do have a couple of critiques, though. The first is the horizon line...it's a really sharp, perfectly straight line, and that seems rather unnatural to me. Secondly, the right leg of the Acrocanthosaurus doesn't seem quite right to me. It's hard to explain, though... I'd also say that the posterior of the lower jaw is a little *too* thick, and Acro actually couldn't hold its first and second claws at a straight line with the rest of the finger, instead, the claws were permanently flexed, or facing inwards. Hard to describe, but if you take a look at the Acro claw diagram I made, you'll see what I mean.
I hope I didn't nitpick too much. This is still one of the best Acrocanthosaurus paintings I've ever seen, if not THE best despite some minor anatomy flaws! The shading is really wonderful. Have you read the book Raptor Red? They mention a scene with Acros on the beach...although sadly, one of them is killed by a Kronosaur... :C

Yeah, I actually figured out most of the problems late in the painting, to late to change at this point, except the ocean horizon, which will probably be fixed shortly, thanks for your imput though, I'm glad you like it! the right leg is supposed to be slightly open, since it is about to give a right turn though.
Glad you liked it as much as you did tho, should give the book a read.
