what if mulan had a different sequel

after becoming hero of china Mulan returned to her family. and after the dinner she had with shang she hadn't heard from him in a few months. He was both busy with his new placement in china's army and was extremely akward with how to socially converse with Mulan now that she was Mulan. In this time Mulan was summoned by the emperor again. There had been a attempt on his life and he himself believes it was from someone on the inside. He requited Mulan as a inside spy of the inner courts of his palace. She was to live in the palace and socialize with the ladies while looking for information on the underbelly of the court. In this time she rang into shang and he was confused as why she was there. he was let in on it and would try to help mulan. Equally being a nusiance trying to keep her out of trouble. Mulan has to learn the ways of courts but equally ends up teaching the ladies of the court how to fight and help themselves.

Oh jeez i don't know where to start. This was one of the stories i really DIDN'T want to work on because 1. I LOVE mulan and find it pretty much perfect. and 2. I am not extremely knowledgable on the true story of mulan and didn't want to change it any more than disney did (spoilers... i did...). But i decided to change the sequel or make an in between sequal. I want shang being akward around mulan. and finding it endeering. I wanted to show mulan learning other ways of "warefare" that do not include fighting. Plus i love mysteries and i love spies.

I gave her a war fan as a weapon. Now from whatever i searched it was always japanese war fans but i really wanted a war fan. she is also wearing a outfit designed around clothing worn in the sui dynasty and tang dynasty due to from some internet sources some of the earliest stories of mulan came from before The Tang Dynasty. Though i could be wrong. If someone wants to correct me i will accept it.
