your hand embroidery skills are inspiring to look at. LOVE the eyes!! Do you do the embroidery before or after the pattern's been cut out and sewn?

After I cut the pieces out but before sewing them together. The pieces actually fit really well into my embroidery hook. If you're interested there are some WIP pictures while embroidering on my tumblr.

Well, you gotta do what you've gotta do. And since I don't own an embroidery machine and don't like the look of iron-ons or painted.. Eyup. Hours and hours of hand embroidery.

Yes, it's hand embroidery and I do take commissions in general, just flick me a note and if I've got time on my hands and fabric at home we can work something out.
