Not swimming. The creature seems bulky enough to drown lol. Plus there is no webbing anywhere on the hands or anatomy wise that it swims.
Definitely leaping!

Oh man, imagine that as a hunting style...They wouldn't even need teeth or claws, just a straw to suck up the remains! DUDE, WAIT--WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT--THAT'S WHAT THE TRUNK IS FOR

Lol. With prey sufficiently dead and sufficiently mushed, the life juices would be ready for the slurping XD

I love this, it's really weird (shocking, coming from you). I like the fact that it's hairless, and the deinotherium tusks are a nice touch.

Hmmm, I've been wanting to do a "flooded Amazon" sorta scenario for quite a while now...Could be, could be!

I once imagined a sort of massive kelp forest that was thick enough on top to provide sea birds with a (somewhat damp, possibly, but perfectly serviceable) place to nest. Semi-aquatic descendants of adapids (or possibly plesiadapids) swam/climbed through the fronds, sea snakes, adapted marine reptiles, carnivorous fish, small cetaceans, and pinnipeds filled out various predatory niches...

That's a very cool premise...Kelp forests have always struck me as a rich environment for spec/fantasy exploration, as per
