Or maybe I just suck. XD When rubbing the ears there's a delay,because she's just standing there,but with distraction she instantly runs back.

The delay is meant to show how she's completely chilled out. The distraction had her move away and then call out in a sock induced fury, but as I said in the other reply, added a 60frames delay to give you a better running start.
