Tifa, I've been hanging on to this until I had enough time to sit down to really type......
This is one of the finest examples of sequential art that I have seen in a long long time --and I'm a real comic book reader, so I see a LOT of sequential art, trust me. The pacing, the panel arrangement, the art itself is all near perfection; the story flows along smoothly and is clear and understandable; those panels without dialog move along cinimatically from one to another telling the story beautifully. In particular, the final silent panels of "page one" that end with a tiny panel of the pumpkin character spying on the private encounter--that tiny little panel that leads to the establishing shot of the moon on "page two", then the wide shot showing the full body language, despair and heartbreak, then the series of smaller panels leading to the close-up of the tear running down his face---all of this is just so splendidly done that it stopped me in my tracks, it is just so well paced and executed. An artist is like a film director, choosing where to put the camera, when to zoom in or out, birds eye view or worms eye view, wide shot or close-up, etc. You have brought these concepts to this artwork just splendidly, Tifa. I think this is quite comparable to the type of storytelling done by Will Eisner (...and I know you probably don't know who Will Eisner is, but he LITERALLY wrote the book on Sequential Art).
...so I just wanted to drop by and say "BRAVO"!!!!
