Description Named after a song by Jelly Roll Morton (1926). Seems fitting enough, the song is an upbeat trudge-along rag with no lyrics except an intro with whining Model-T horns and a bandmate yelling "Hey! What are you trying to do! Trying to knock the streetcar off the track? You're so dumb you should belong to the Deaf and Dumb Society!" and another bandmate replies, "I'm sorry boss.. but I got the sidewalk blues.."

I had a half-hour break at work and the only paper I had around was in a notebook. I couldn't remember how to get notebook lines out in photoshop, so I did my best trying to cover them up with filters, mainly "Dark Strokes". Unfortunately it blurred most of the linework, but it created a nice downpour effect for the rain. I was thinking of Harpo Marx at the time, him escaping after a night of performing at the theatre, wandering to Aleck's poker game at the Algonquin Hotel or to his cozy booth at Lindy's restaurant.

Thank you! I'm surprised anyone on DA knows who he is. LOL I enjoy his music, as well as Django Reinhardt and Cliff Edwards.

I don't believe I've ever seen a style quite like this... and I have to say it's very effective from the scrawlishness of the background to the lined shading of his pants mimicing the rain. What keeps drawing my attention though is the puddle in the bottom left, because in spite of its simple construction, happens to look EXACTLY like a puddle just sitting there on the page.

And lastly, your expressions are once again emotional, realistic and just plain... *tries to think of one last intelligent word to use* ...is there an intelligent synonym for awesome?
