Cosplaying Taisou from the manga series Akaboshi: Ibun Suikoden.Since the fisrt time I saw this character, I've been wanting to do this costume. And wow, I actually did it! It was quite a lot of work. I think that making this costume shortened my life span by a few years... I took part in a cosplay competition with this costume, and so I kinda had to get it ready in time for that even though I would had really needed a couple more weeks to complete this costume in a comfortable way. I already want to redo the jacket and do some fine tuning to my sword, but yeah, that's cosplay.

Thank you! I'm so exited that someone else likes the series so much that they are willing to cosplay from it! It's so rare for people to even know it 
The sword is made of a kind of a vey hard cardboard, "wood cardboeard" would be the translation from the Finnish word for it. It's sold in big pieces for a ridiculous price 8,D So it's two pieces of cardoards cut into shape and glued on a broomstick. Then I carved the marks on and covered the blade with a material used for covering model airplanes... The black logo thing is glued on the blade and it's mabe of craftfoam. It's a little hard for me to explain in English, sorry.

Thank you! I'll look into this cardboard, and see if I can find a similar material here ^^ when I begin with the sword, if I do get stuck, I'll poke you for assistance x_X
