STRENGTHS Curious – Sybil doesn't have a comfort zone. The world is a beautiful and enticingly complex place and she's determined to investigate every bit of it, learning its secrets and its gifts. Not for power, but for knowledge. While she can normally reign in her curiosity, it does at times get the better of her. In all truthfulness tho, she always means well; but who can pass up a mystery in need of answers?
Empathetic - Others pain and happiness has a way of filtering into Sybil's core. She's happy when others are happy and tends to drift into melancholy when others are distraught. She tries to put herself in others paws and feel what they feel, thinking that everyone needs to be heard and if she could understand their emotions for a single moment, maybe she could help.
Communicator – Sybil enjoys both small talk and deep, meaningful conversations. Her skill at connecting with others makes it refreshingly easy to speak to or with her about anything. She's never turned down someone who needed
an ear to listen and has a keen way of steering conversations towards a desired subject in ways that feel completely natural and unforced.
Spontaneous - While impulsive, sure, Sybil lives her life on the coat tails of her spontaneity. She rarely needs a thought out plan to undertake an adventure or a task. Proceeding forward with even just a threat of information, Sybil is a dive head first in, ask questions later, type of gal.
WEAKNESSES Difficulty Focusing – Sybil isn't a wolf destined for leadership. As soon as an event takes a serious or grounded turn, she can avidly feel her interest waning painfully. Routine and mundane tasks are painful to undertake unless she is determined and focused of her own accord, otherwise she often finds her attention easily swayed to other things.
Emotional – When under stress, criticism or conflict, Sybil often experiences such a strong emotional surge that it hinders her every day activities. She's known to get emotionally invested in the events around her to the point of almost obsession, something she hates about herself.
Overthinks Everything – Every move she makes, or those around her makes, sends the ashen female into a spiraling thought process of ulterior motives. Unless intentions are blatantly expressed, Sybil can't help but sit and wonder if there's more to a situation, a word, an expression, or a dismissing.
Seeks Others Approval - While she tries to play it off that she's utterly independent and self sufficient, Sybil craves the approval and validation of those around her. A simple 'good job' from one of her pack mates can go a long way, while utter and blatant divisiveness can send her into a spiral of self depreciating thoughts.
HISTORY
Sybil was born into a loving gathering of wolves. The eldest female of her litter, she took it upon herself to mother hen her siblings when her parents were otherwise engaged. Her mother, a Tundes herbalist, her father a guardian turned peacekeeper, Sybil and her litter mates knew only peace and harmony within their familial circle. The harsh reality of the Almos was hidden for the most part from Sybil and her siblings, their parents not wanting such young souls to have to endure such pain.
Pain and turmoil doesn't discriminate however, and eventually, that shadow descended upon Sybil and her family. Reagan fell ill suddenly, contracting a sickness that couldn't be cured much to their mother's futile and frantic attempts. He passed in his sleep and while Sybil now wonders if perhaps he was one of the first of the souls that the island decided to claim, she has never had a definitive answer.
As the days passed after her fathers death, her mother became lost in her thoughts. She tried to be present for her children, but grief is a sickness all its own. Sybil took it upon herself to hunt for their small family, assuring her mother ate while also gathering the most recent news from the rest of the pack. It was in her hunts that she would see a wolf, one she believed to be called Kell, close to their den. If Sybil made eye contact, the she wolf would slip away hurriedly. She remembered her father mostly having brief words with the elder female but Sybil was curious as to her close proximity to the den since her father's passing.
The fates spared none and one morning, dew fresh on the grasses and fog from the coast brushing against the earth, they found Anathema's body. Another life for the island. Sybil gave herself time to grieve before she pushed forward, unable to live in the shadow of dismay.
Then, man came.
Sybil's world was turned upside down once more as friend fought friend amidst the beach. Crimson stained the sand as both man and wolf fell. Watching from the distance, having arrived at the tail end of the screams and snarls, Sybil was unable to do anything, unable to help. She watched lives lost, and she watched their pack rip down the middle.
Malaysia's followers defected to the North and Sybil did her best to be a Tundes wolf who could contribute. Time found her mind wandering more easily however and eventually Sybil realized that focusing on any one important thing made her shut down, so to speak, and so she grew more flighty and spontaneous.
The moons passed, the world stopping for no soul. Deaths continued to occur, the Island claiming both Kol and Tunde. Turmoil and dissention began to fester within the Tundes but didn't come to a head until the death of the Golden Alpha. The rift it caused was evident, and soon enough the Tundes split three ways, each taking to a corner of the Almos. Sybil followed those of the Taika.
She was tired of death, of dismay and loss. She hoped that within this newly formed faction, she could truly know what peace felt like.
