Procyon remembers very little of her history, who her parents were, what their names were apart from ma and father. She has heard recollections of them since - passing commentary from Tundes wolves who spoke of a pup left in her barrow by parents whose lives were claimed by sickness. Small, greedy, unworthy of precious time. All were words that followed the grey pup around as she grew, hovering on the fringes of society.

Procyon often resorted to stealing, scavenging the remains from meals of others to help sustain her. No one had taught her to hunt and her attempts were often clumsy and very rarely resulted in actually acquiring a meal.

Procyon made a friend once, a tiny little bird that for some, unknown reason followed her around like a gnat following mud and ooze. Unfortunately for the bird however, when the packs began to lack in food resources, Procyon ate him. He was a quick and easy meal and satisfied the starving wolf for all of two minutes. She did have regrets, of course, he was somewhat of a companion in her lonely life, but it was one of her many snap decisions that were made in favour of her living to see another sunrise.

The death of Osirus was something Procyon watched from afar. She had little feeling for it although the general sense of mourning held by the pack did affect her somewhat. It was impossible not to be surrounded by so much sadness and not feel something from it.

As the pack split, Procyon weighed her options, which way would she go? Who would she follow? Where would she most likely get the best source of food? In the end she settled on Yetta - Yetta took with her the largest portion of the pack into the Western mountains. More wolves meant a higher likelihood to Procyon of more food and the mountains offered many hiding holes where she could squirrel away and stash what she could get, hoarding it for later. It seemed like a good bet, and so she took it.
