It's amazing. How do you make your monotypes? Do you use a pane of glass?

Thank you. I use Plexi glass with oil based inks and paint.

Wow, what a great motif. Why don't you write what size it has and how you've done it/ what media you used?

Really interesting the abstraction... or... how's the other way round called?

Sorry, you are right, my mistake. its a monotype, about 16" x 20". Thanks for your comments..

I've recently started producing monoprints and the amount of detail you have seems completely alien to me. How in the world do you do it without pressing your hand into the ink?!

Anyhow, as always, i respect and adore your work.

Who says i don't press my hand into the ink? Thank you for your kind words.

You're exceedingly welcome and thank you for your ambiguous response.

I use all sorts of tools and methods to apply and manipulate inks and paints on the plexi-glass plate. I use brushes, rollers, rags, among other things. I also use my hands to wipe, push, smear, add and remove. Less ambiguous?

that does indeed help. Sorry if the last message seemed petulant. It was very much meant as a genuine thank you! Thanks anyhow.

Petulance is prized here in NY. Enjoy making your monotypes. If I can be of any help in the future, let me know.

This one is really beautiful. I love the contrast between the detail on the face and your usual loose and long brush strokes. It's great. Good job!
