Description Alright i figured I'd start 2011 off with a bang and what better way to do that then to draw one of Marvel lamest characters ever created. Ah yes its Ant-man in all his glory.

and I will be doing a Marvel A-Z project. Each month we will be going thru the alphabet and doing 2 characters so by the end of the year we will have the whole alphabet done. Something to keep us fresh and nothing too crazy so we don't burn out and we can still do our own stuff.

I decided to do mine with a trading card theme in mind. Should be fun. Other than that I'm not sure if I'll be keeping this same style for each piece but only time will tell.
Be sure to check out 's piece. [link]

Enjoy!

:update: Added more highlights to balance out the piece and redid the wings. Didn't feel like a complete piece, but I think I'm done now so its time to move on to the Letter B.

Thank you I can't wait to do more, its been alot of fun drawing random characters from the Marvel universe. I'm like a kid in the candy store every time I get to a new letter.
Checked out your gallery by the way, Love your stuff and your photos of your dads models are very impressive and I'm sure he loves it. Thats really cool I need to do something like that for my dad.

Well, you're very good at it. Keep it up! And thank you so much! I have a really shit camera for that kind of thing, so we do the best we can and take a LOT of shots. He keeps telling me that if this were film we had to develop, we'd be in debt up to our eyeballs. XD He's very talented and has an excellent balance between art and function in all of his work...he builds things so they could run if they were actually made to standard scale. I'll be sure to let him know you liked them...he'll be tickled. ^_^

Can he build Robots? Hehe just asking cause that would be AWESOME! I hear the SLR cameras will be going down in price drastically this year or the following just so you know. I sure hope so Cause I'd like to get a nice camera soon. So if your dad does build robots I'd come and take a nice picture of it.

Yeah thank gawd for digital cameras cause even though film is nice it saves on money.

p.s.- thanks for telling your dad he rocks, he should know. Its also cute that you support him. I'm seeing a "Daughter of the year" award in your future.

Oh, probably. He's fucking brilliant. XD I'll ask him to start on an Iron Man suit. And that would be freaking awesome...a whole army to take with me to the cons to wash the unwashed. ^_^ And yay for that! I really want an SLR...my camera is lovely. For family portraits at a picnic. NOT ART. Lol. If Dad starts building AI machines, I will be sure to invite you to come document it, lol. By then, hopefully, I'll have a decent cam, too. XD

Oh, I KNOW. Think of how broke we'd be if we couldn't just delete and make more room on our SDs. Fuck, I'd never eat. I only eat twice a day as it is, and that's way better than last year. XD

And he does rock. More than a Golem. And thanks, lol. I don't know if he feels that way, but I really do admire him. He's pretty freaking amazing. I hope someday I can be that cool.

That would rock, I would definitely make a trip to document robots. I know money can be an issue but you should definitely get a nicer camera. Believe me I think I'm going to do the same. If anything you can try to get a couple of gigs to pay it off. I think you'd be awesome behind a camera.

I know I have no room to talk with my skinny ass but you need to eat skinny girl and so do I.

Digital is a beautiful thing especially when it comes to saving money. Film is great if you can afford it but I'm okay with just having things saved on a card or whatever.

I'm sure your dad thinks your great, he just might not ever admit it. hehe and you are that cool so don't sweat it.

I'm currently saving for an SLRd7000 and several cosplay costumes, so don't worry. I'd guess that by August, I'll have the camera and maybe December I'll have the three costumes for the characters I'm currently obsessed with playing. XD

I was gonna say. Mr. You-could-probably-wear-my-pants, you should eat, too. xD My thinness is mostly because I can't develop muscle properly, so I spend all my free time working out to keep it on. And protein foods are expensive, so I have to be careful about how much I eat at one time or I won't have enough for the next meal.

EXACTLY. Totally cost efficient...I'd like to experience film eventually, but for now, I'm very content with the SDs.

We have a very mannish relationship. Not much talking, but we build shit together, and he teaches me about cars and how to act in a fraternity and the best ways to not get caught while doing incredibly inspiring stupid shit (you know, the kinds of stories where you go "WTF did he ever do that for, but I am entirely awestruck with how amazing it worked"). XD We have mutual respect, though I still think he thinks I'm crazy for having such an extensive high heel collection. X)

Your right I probably could fit in your pants but thats neither here nor there.

Film is one dream I hope to tackle soon. I've been working on a script with two good friends of mine and its coming out great. Funny how 3 random people can work so well together. Hopefully we can find a means of getting enough money to pull it off. I tend to aim big and it's a mixture of film and cg so hopefully that works out but nothings set in stone. We could always animate the scenes with paper cut outs. Whatever works. Also looking into trying to make a pilot for Adult Swim, got an idea called Vigilante Squirrel I think would be perfect for that station.

High heel collection huh....good grief. Whatever floats your boAT. I guess its better than my speedo collection.

Lmao. Gives whole new meaning to "get in her pants"...oh dear. But seriously. If you can fit into a junior's size three, why are you not a runway model? Much better pay than any art career.

Very cool! I hope that you get to realize that project and I can't wait to see it when you do!

Oh man...it's wack. I'm such an anti-girl and yet there are all these 4" Steve Maddens. I make no sense. But more sense than the Speedos. Where would you wear those?!

tonytorrid In reply to Graehound [2011-06-05 03:54:02 +0000 UTC]

If I could fit in a juniors size 3 I'd probably shoot myself. I am pretty skinny but not that skinny. I'm also way too clumsy to be a runway model, You'd end up seeing me on youtube falling off the runway besides I wouldn't want to model undies or anything too crazy, I'd feel pretty stupid.

Speedos are good for any occasion, ofcourse this comment totally contradicts my runway comment but who doesn't like a little contradiction. Steve maddens are the bomb tho, even though I prefer there more casual shoes compared to the 4" ones. I really don't know how you women do it.

Awh, where's your sense of adventure? Just kidding. I actually have fallen off those raised platforms, so as funny as it is, I try really hard not to laugh, because they hurt like a bitch. Lol.

Lmao. I was thinking swimcaps til I remembered the rest of this thread. ANY occasion? Go crash a bar mitzvah in one and see how many weird looks you get. Not that I have any experience...

And Steve Madden continues to extract money from my very angry wallet...though I've been buying fewer multi-inch heels as of late in preference of my usual Osiris flat skate shoes and some army boots for the impending shit midwest winter weather.

I don't know how women do it, either. I prefer to think of myself as Batman and just ignore that I have a gender anymore. XD

I really can't believe you picked Pym. You did his stankin ass justice, though. BTW: Still mad about the lack of antennae, but it's still a kickass piece.

tonytorrid In reply to Kenji-Seay [2011-01-17 03:09:33 +0000 UTC]

Haha I figured you would be, my apologies I had meant to draw them in but I finished the piece really randomly. Just had a surge of creative energy and went with the momentum. I hadn't drawn in the antennae earlier and I just went with what I had initially. I wasn't thinking really, I was more on autopilot. Wheres Your A.... If you having issues with the scan I say finish "B" and just get "A" done before the months over.

I've almost got A done... Had to scan it SIX times to fit the whole thing! It will Rawk. Anywho, it shows that you put a lot into it, despite it being an inside joke...Again, farkin' awesome work, bro.
