There's not enough Pound Puppies fanart out there, so I came up with this. It's Cooler from the Hanna-Barbera version and Lucky from the new version on the HUB. I really like the new Pound Puppies series. It's a shame it doesn't get enough attention; due to the overwhelming popularity of a certain other show on that network.Cooler by Hanna-Barbera

There should definitely be a crossover of these two generations of Pound Puppies with Cooler in it.

TheΒ only way for it to happen is if Warner Bros., who owns the rights to all of the Hanna-Barberra cartoons, and thus, owns the characters from that incarnation, will cooperate with Hasbro and Discovery, who only own the rights to the new cartoon.

Just out of curiosity, if Hasbro got Cooler and his gang back, who'd do the voices of the characters, in your opinion? My choices...

I liked that picture of Cooler and Lucky (the leaders from the original and revamped versions respectively) because of the fact that I remember watching the original Pound Puppies in the 80s but I recently watched the new version on Boomerang a few days back, which is a lot better.
In my opinion, the modern version might be of interest to former PP fans worldwide.

two generations of Pound Puppies meeting
I've been planning to do a crossover fanfic between the 80s Pound Puppies and the current Pound Puppies. The plot would involve a grown up Brattina continuing her mother Katrina's hate against dogs by trying to get McLeash to sell the dog pound to her so she could shut it down.
I still need to work out the plot details

I was thinking of just that, only having the two universes separate and having Lucky's group warped to the HB world by an invention by Studel and see them as antros like Cooler.Β Yeah, it's a lot like Equestria Girls, but at least it's different in some terms.

Maybe if all the Hub shows crossed over with each other (FIM included), they'd get the same kind of attention FIM has.
And I really like your picture! I hope S2 of PP has Cooler as a guest star! (Rob Paulsen would be a good voice for Cooler, IMHO)
Fun fact-- DHX Media not only produces FIM, but PP as well. And Daniel Ingram writes the music for both shows.
