Wow, the composition of this piece is beautiful! The empty space actually says so much more than the figure itself, there is such a sense of loneliness and alienation here. The colours are really airy too which adds to the feeling of space, and surprisingly they also add to the lonely feeling, usually when you ask someone to depict a lonely figure the colours are dark and sad. This is very interesting!
Also, the painting on the piano lid is a gorgeous touch, it adds so much depth to the piece and says a lot about the player. Great work!

Wow! I didn't think about the dark colors thing. It wasn't absolutely a choice of originallity: I just felt the drawing needed to be airy.
Now that you say so, I am very proud of the decision (but still it wasn't on purpose!).
