Best viewed with the default dA skin! (yes, I know you're sick of me saying that)This is for ~Eeyore4444 for being such a good friend. Pink wellyfants are awesome, especially if they're giant pink wellyfant balloons.
Achieving balloon texture is very difficult, and then I thought the balloon looked boring all by itself so I decided to add a little deviantART-coloured town (so it really is one very big wellyfant, considering the size of the shadow). That wasn't enough either, so I added mountains. Still thinking it was boring, I added the little people (and the dog) and decided it was time to call it quits before I tried to draw the entire population of deviantART.

Ha ha ha... I like how you described the making of this piece. It is much more interesting to have a pink elephant balloon and a city and mountains and people and a dog than just to have the elephant, but you're right in that you have to stop sometime! Wouldn't it be frightening to wake up one morning to a massive shadow over your house, and then to look up to a huge pink elephant? Actually, now that I think about it, I've also done a painting of elephants in the sky... hmmm. Reminds me of the pink elephant parade from Dumbo. Anyways, that's probably enough rambling, I like your pic

Anyway!!! Awwh I just love it lots! It's not boring at all. I love how much colour it adds to that poor boring town in dA colours, though I suppose the shadow also just takes it away o-o'. I love the wellyfant and I love the people that look like they're running for they're lives from the monster-baloon, can't they understand that pink means harmless!?

It was hard, I was trying to make it slightly translucent as well but you can't really tell. You can see it a bit in the soles of the feet but that's about it.
It shall be a shiny balloon rather than a translucent one!
