I really love what you did there with Mitzi trying desperately to take something old and broken and put it back together because of it's sentimental value. and i agree with everyone else about the strong sense of atmosphere you can really become immersed in this comicΒ

I stumbled upon this series a while ago and somehow forgot about it, untill Mitzi popped up into my head. I'm not sure why, but I like her character so much, I just had to come back for her

I love this strip here. But, what was weird was, while I was listening to this one song, the panels I was looking at, made it seem as if they matched. It was weird. XD But, awesome work here.

This is so sad. I feel for Mitzi and her obsession to hang onto Atlas's gift, I feel the same way about the gifts from my late husband. Life just doesn't want to go on.
The emotion in the strip is beautiful.

This is a really good update. It doesn't have to be non-stop comedy; I really enjoy seeing some deeper character developments here, especially of Zib. Didn't expect this at all.
Still my favorite comic.

This is the first time I'm reading any of this, but I think I have a pretty good picture of these 2 characters.
Mitzi and Zib are good friends. Maybe even relatives. If they were more than that, Zib would have looked a bit more unsettled by Mitzi's attachment to Atlas. Zib isn't a fan of doing anything morally wrong, but will do it for Mitzi's family (he'll still be a little passive-aggressive about it, though). He's also not the overly-emotional type. Mitzi is a bit harder to place since she's the one in a predicament and stressed. She has a lot of love for her old lover and family. Her family ranks above friends. Mitzi is a bit disgusted by all things lowly.(can't think of a better way to put it) She dislikes the idea of dancing in skimpy wear, and isn't a fan of the gentleman in the last panel. As for that guy, I'm guessing he has a one-track mind. When it comes to money or something of monetary value, he only sees that and gets stuck in tunnel vision.

It's like the pearls say it all: the late Atlas, the speakeasy, the memories they hold. A lot of people do what they do, even if it's illegal, for some legit reasons. You can do the wrong things for the right reasons and vice versa.
And I find it amazing that ONE page can flesh out characters SO much. I really like Zib's design. It's so cool how all the characters are cats yet they look so diverse.

This one looks much softer than the others... It looks gorgeous. I love the effect of the third row, with the pearls scattered behind it.
Also, Zib's eyes. So used to seeing them half-closed, but I like the scenes where his eyes are open all the way. It gives more dimension to his character (in my mind at least). To me, it shows that he can be emotional/caring/etc., and isn't always drugged/sleazy/whatever.
Yay for oneshot characters! ("Pearls" guy is a one shot, right? He won't be important to the rest of the story?)
