It's not so much about continuity as editorial direction and style they push with stories.
The ones in charge tend to push certain tones of stories, and not care too much about planning of writers, so whatever they end up doing I generally find myself not liking it, even with authors I do like on other stuff ironically. They had this problem before the reboot, and if they undid the reboot or did an entire third universe it wouldn't improve their style, so what continuity it is is not the part I have a problem with.
