Hes not quite as physically strong as most powerhouse characters, but his claw arm does have immense crushing power, used in part to slowly torture his victims! Mwahahahahaha!
His main weakness is his egomania. Thwart him or find a loop hole in his master plan, and he'll be so baffled as to how he has any shortcomings, he'll be completely clueless as to what he was supposed to be doing. So basically, he cant think on his feet at all. Everything has to be planned and improvisation=insanity in his book.

his single optic is like Shockwave. But his personality isnt. Shockwave was sometimes a slave to logic and totally loyal to the Decepticon cause.
Hellbent is a slave to process and sadism and doesnt care about the Decepticons at all.

Im doing a fanfic, the first couple of installments are on my DA.

Hellbent is the villain behind the scenes and is behind all the things that sent the story into motion.
And if you do read it, keep in mind I wanted to do a story not involving canon characters. Alot of people wanna try and fit all this history for popular characters like Sunstreaker or Sideswipe in between what actually happened in the fiction. I wanted to do a story about some other mechs that aren't a part of those "greatest warriors of Cybertron" theme that Transformers mainly follows, and let it just be about them and their own struggles during The Great War.

He transforms into a Cybertronic crane. His left arm forms the claw part of it, his front end wheels are in his heels, and his tracks are on his back.

The concept for his body was borrowed from a mix of Energon Divebomb and Darksyde Dinobot. With a hint of Optronix. His transformation sequence and the placement of various parts were my own doing.
His head slides into his chest and his right arm flips up and rotates to cover it. His right arm folds up and flips up and rotates to fit just behind that.
He essentially sits down on his legs so that they are flat against the bottom of his torso and his feet fold upward so that the wheels in his heels can touch ground.
The tracks on his back flip down and attach to the sides of his legs. So you have the tracks to the sides and two big wheels in the front (they just look cool in my brain that way).
Hope that gives you an idea.

He is a serial killer type guy before the Great War who joined the Cons as a way to throw authorities of his trail. The Great War is an excellent distraction.
He actually has one optic like Shockwave hidden beneath the tri-visor.
Another fun note: he is a strategist and expert at psychological warfare. He is a slight egomaniac, a massive sadist and cares nothing for the Con cause.
He's a diabolical conniving bastard and loves torturing his victims to death slowly over the course of many days.

Wow. For some reason, He reminds me of a cross between Six Shot and Shockwave a bit. Tis' an awsome character!

The one optic thing came up with a thought of mine. If Shockwave only has one optic, why cant other G1 TFs?
Has anyone else realized that Shockwave is the only G1 character with a single optic?

Actually, I do recall that a wrecker did have one eye, but then again, the character only appeared in the comic I believe.
