The Yule Mother digital painting is finished. Took me 16 hours this time (excl. background as this one was already painted for the Snow Queen
) and I am so happy how it did turn out! ♥When I suddenly had the image in mind - I thought first of painting Mary with Jesus - but she turned out to be the Yule Mother ... although I still have Mary's energy with it
I have to admit - the I love the painting - although I had some problems with the little boy. ♥

I love this! I also like in your description the continuity between Mary and the Yule Mother. Is the Yule Mother a particular tradition? I really love how you painted the snow on the branches to the right, and the expression of the mother.
