And the second thing I'm wondering is why you've put a gaussian blur (I guess) around the head. You probably want to draw the attention to the eyes.
And then you've colored the head a bit violet and the neck in green, right?
... It's funny because the longer I look at the picture the more it gets interesting. Because usually horse photos are with a green nature background etc. Well anyway I think it's a nice photo! As far as the effects go: The blur and the pink colour came from the technique I used. I just took the lens off the camera body and used it as kind of a false tilt-shift lens (so that's where the blur comes from). And with that some light got on the sensor through the opening between the lens and the camera body - that makes a pink colour for some reason that I do not understand. The greenish colour came out more with the editing (contrast etc) but I didn't actually add that either.

What a lovely beast! I like the odd focus of the picture; it's not directly on the horses face, but rather its neck. It gives an interesting perspective.

This is such a great photo! The angle and details make the horse seem very intimidating, but the face seems so kind, I really love it.

I love the blur effect. May I ask what you think about the Canon EOS 550D because I'm thinking about investing in a decent DSLR but I'm Still trying to decide?

I think it's great. There are some things you should consider though. Like, you have to get a good memory card to be able to shoot video (plus, there's not auto focusing during filming
