Description
After Adhara is Blazyk.
She stands at 30 foot tall and is 150ft from nose to tail. Her wingspans are 200 and 185ft. Her legs are a bit longer than the average glider. Like Adhara, Blazyk used to be a normal glider but has since been mutated into something more.
Standard gliders wouldn’t call Blazyk a glider by nearly every count. She has the body shape, stripe patterns and the black mask, the wings and the fans, but that’s it. She’s had the most drastic change out of all of the main five.
Gliders aren’t supposed to have feathers, but she was mixed with a phoenix of some sort. Fire and poisons are her specialty. She’s a bit quick tempered and quick to action, rushing into fights like a stereotypical fire type. She’s brash and loud like her colors and calls herself a ‘Fire Storm Glider’ to match Adhara’s name. Flashy colors means she’s a good distraction because MAN is she hard to look at sometimes. She’s playful and active and incredibly protective over her family.
Eventually, she’ll grow to reach Adhara’s size but she’s several years younger than her. Blazyk’s lab rat phase was not only shorter than hers, but it was a lot more recent so the changes are still carrying on. They think that she’ll eventually turn a darker, ashen gray or deep red before it’s over. She’s in her early 20′s for her kind.
She met Region, Stellar and Split, the other three in the pack, when she got snagged and thrown into a lab. They have been inseparable since.
She has the longest fangs because her bite is venomous. The spikes on her head aren’t but like other gliders, the transition from spikes-to-spines is around the shoulder and the spines down her back are. She’s highly toxic, far more than Adhara. Her aposematic coloration with the bright, neon green stripes and the bright reds are the only warning you get. All gliders have this setup teeth-wise, though Adhara has two rows of teeth because Reasons.
Her crest is weird. Gliders need five horns but Blazyk’s only got four, and the feathers replace the membrane. The feathers and the base of those horns act like heat sinks when she really gets going, the base of the feathers start to turn blue with the heat and smoke escapes from the gaps in the plating there.
There are other heat vents down her body but that’s the most noticeable one.
