Last of my gliders (and a late post, I kept forgetting to come back). There's a few more left to post here (Raekii and Revati as mentioned here) and I'll be adding them when I can.

Gliders already have weird proportions and anatomy (head to hip is only half as long as their tails I mean good grief) but Split takes it a step further. His wings are stretched out longer than average, both an advantage and a hindrance.

Split goes by he/they. Of the group, he was the smallest of the lot both before and after the experiments originally. Now with this update he’s grown a good amount as Stellar is now the smallest, and Split’s wingspan is longer than Adhara’s. He’s only behind Revati. His primary wings are close to 350ft across and the secondary are 300ft. He’s not quite 30ft tall and 160ft-ish long. His design isn’t as wild as the others but Split isn’t as showy as they are.

He’s always been anxious and cautious as the youngest of the pack. He likes to hang out with Region a lot because he’s usually pretty mellow and allows Split the chance to let some of his worries go. The others are fairly protective of him, especially since his abilities make him a high target.

Split has all sorts of psychic abilities and powers. The things he was exposed to in the labs left a huge amount of stress on his mind and it makes him erratic at times when the stress gets to be too much.

He’s the fastest of the bunch, no contest. A combination of the glider’s pressure shield and his psychic powers allow him to give himself a boost of wind under his wings and decrease wind resistance as much as he can. Adhara has the ability to teleport herself and something she’s touching but Split can rip open a portal to dive through, letting anyone follow him through. He’s very attuned to the natural magnetic fields of the planet and the space around him making him an excellent navigator, he never gets lost.

Because of his speed and navigation, if the group needs to travel Split is usually in front with Adhara taking over once they get to their destination. They fly in a v for the same reasons geese do. If Raekii is present, he flies in either the middle of the v behind Split or behind him on the arms of the v in order be pulled by his wake more efficiently. Raekii is only half glider so keeping up is challenging sometimes.

One thing that I don’t know how to really explain is that Split is essentially a long distance communication hub. His telekinesis is far more advanced than Adhara’s and he’s able to focus on several at once, making it so he can relay information to the pack and keep tabs on them all. Being able to know they’re safe while separated is a crutch Split relies on when he’s alone.
Originally, he was based on Latias and Latios with influence from a yu-gi-oh kick I was on at the time. I don’t know what he was mixed with now but whatever it was was incredibly efficient with psychic abilities. And of course, he’s got the same neurotoxin in his bite and the spines on his back that the others do, though his have a longer lasting disorientation aspect that leaves things more vulnerable.

He’s like a gangly teenager with those wings. He also glows because bioluminescence is cool.
