So. As a counter to the angst in the last picture, I present to you...immeasurable sap! ><This one isn't as dark or as well modeled as the last picture, but...they're happy, right? *bricked*
But ya, I think one of Phoenix's admirable qualities as an adult is his innocence--that he's basically the same as his kid-self, even in Apollo Justice (shh, I need it to be so!).
So here, have some crazy nonsensical timewarp symbolism.
And the lawyers belong to Capcom, I forgot to add that last time. ^^

I enjoy this idea as well--the idea that Edgeworth is simultaneously protecting and being attracted to Phoenix's innocence. Just as I enjoy the idea presented by your previous drawing: that Phoenix is hurt by Edgeworth's pain and wants to heal and protect him.
Sooo....they both want to protect each other, I guess.

Hmmmm.....I would like my Godot tall and dark....like how I like my -- tea. As much as I love him, I will not drink coffee for Godot.
