Description

The spirit of salvia divinorum.

Or: A personification and characterisation of an experience.

Seer's sage, or salvia divinorum is a device for self-reflection and the most direct access to the subconscious which I have ever gotten to know. It was highly disconcerting and transcendental. It has inspired me to draw an image of an old seeing and knowing force, harsh, violent and merciless, who won't spare anyone the truth who seeks to see it. The labyrinth of the human mind, the consciousness, is just left behind and you find yourself in the center of a surreal, yet tragically real scene which is so strange that it fills you with terror. And even after you have left it, it still clings to you, leaving a closed system and reaching into reality.

Disconcerting, as I said, but revealing all that is wrong. It's up to you whether or what you learn from it.

If you are curious about the healing aspect of it and what kind of experience to expect, please visit that link: sta.sh/01tt5meujpaa since it is too long to be posted here.

Woah, that's so intricate and incredible!
Β You have such an eye for pattern. And, I don't know how to phrase this, but you have a great sense of shaping mass. If only I had a sense of how things go together like you- I find geometric stuff super difficult, which sucks because I love robots so much yet can't draw mechanical parts.

Thank you! I need to mention that it took me quite some time to design it, about one month on and off, trying out shapes and arrangements. If I had to explain it it would sound odd, like I try to feel the shapes and if it's flowing I'm content with it.

Everyone's got his own talents and I am sure you got yours as well. If you love them, draw them in your own style. For a long time, I was struggling with my style since I wanted it to look like this and that and I couldn't manage, just until I ditched my expectations and limiting beliefs and accepted the way I am drawing.

You can draw everything if you know how to convert it into your own style. Just believe in yourself.
