Description Parasaurolophus walkeri is a species of Lambeosaurine Hadrosaur that lived in Canada during Late Cretaceous 76-74 million years ago. Parasaurolophus walkeri is the most well known member of the parasaurolophini tribe despite its fossil being rare. However, it had some of most complete specimens ever found. One specimen was found to have injury as a result of getting hit by a falling tree, as shown from a v-shaped notch between borders of cervical and thoracic vertebrae. The crest of Parasaurolophus is hollow and likely helped for display and communication like all of lambeosaurines did. Paleontologists even recreated on how they sounded using computer modeling and found out they sounded like a weird trombone. There are two of confirmed species of Parasaurolophus, the first one being P. walkeri that was found in Alberta, Canada, and the second one is P. cyrtocristatus that was found in New Mexico and Utah, United States.
